PROJECTS

Starting with 2014, the SCOP department has been involved in the development and implementation of projects with European funds, dedicated to the university students having a main component of professional advice and guidance.   

1. "Professional counseling in the medical specializations for a successful career" - MedVise, POSDRU / 161 / 2.1 / G / 141871, carried out between April 2014 - October 2015 for 450 students from the specialties general medicine, general healthcare and nutrition and dietetics The students benefited from individual counseling and professional orientation sessions, practical internships, study visits in the country and one abroad.
2. "Professional counseling for medical students and integrated practice program in the field of general and dental medicine" - MedCareer, POSDRU / 160 / 2.1 / S / 139881, carried out between April 2014 - October 2015 for 5050 students from the faculties of general medicine, dental and general medical assistance from several university centers: Iași, Bucharest, Brașov, Constanța The students have benefited from practical training courses adapted to the specialization, group counseling and professional guidance, personality assessment and over 1000 scholarships and cash prizes.
3. In the period 2016 - 2019 through the Institutional Development Fund, field 1: increasing social equity, for social inclusion and increasing access to higher education, correlating the educational offer with the demand of the labor market (including those regarding counseling and career orientation), have projects have been carried out that in addition to increasing social equity, have had the role of reducing university dropout by making available to the beneficiaries a series of activities and materials to help them in the university life.
4. ROSE Projects: Starting with 2018, two such projects have been implemented, which aim to reduce the dropout rate for students in Year 1 and Study 2.
   • The project "Learning Center - support mechanism for at-risk students from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy" Grigore T. Popa "of Iaşi", Grant Agreement no. 84 / SGU / CI / I of 18.12.2017, made possible the establishment of a learning center, which was equipped with equipment and that facilitates the access of students to specific knowledge in the field of human anatomy. The project targets 3 different series of students, 150 students from year 1 in general medicine and general medical assistance in each series, the total being 450 students. The beneficiaries attend specific anatomy courses and workshops, individual counseling and professional orientation sessions and coaching sessions.
   • The project "Prevention of school dropout and counseling in choosing the career path for first year students of dental medicine and dental technique", Grant Agreement no. 28 / SGU / NC / I from 17.10.2017 is also carried out in 3 different series of 75 students of year I of dental medicine and dental technique who participate in remedial courses and workshops, coaching sessions, counseling and orientation sessions individual professional support and support through specialized materials (anatomy atlases, specialty books)
   • The project "Summer School - Choose to be a pharmacist" - SUMMERPHARM, Grant Agreement no. 135 / SGU / PV / II from 13.05.2019, starting in 2019, offers high school students the possibility of being involved for 2 weeks in specific activities for students from the pharmacy faculty. This project is carried out over 3 years, considering 150 students, 50 per year. The students participate in specialized courses and laboratories, adapted to their level, to counseling and professional orientation activities, to study visits and to leisure activities.
5. Project POCU / 90 / 6.13 / 6.14 / 108943 / Facilitating the transition from education to the labor market in the field of health - balneophysiokinotherapy is especially dedicated to students from the specialization of balneophysiotherapy and aims to provide services to help them integrate into the labor market . The target group is made up of 220 students who benefit from internships in the field, counseling and professional orientation sessions, participation in workshops, grants, contests with prizes.
