The Faculty of Dentistry is a higher education institution able to successfully face the challenges posed by the political, social and competitive environment. I want, together with the entire academic body and with all students, to confirm the value of university, postgraduate and scientific research, to address both global issues in the current and projected context, as well as specific ones that meet the needs and concerns of each member. community. The implementation of tradition, of an organizational culture based on performance and probity, supporting professional autonomy in career development, selection and advancement in the teaching hierarchy of the best young people and cultivating permanent dialogue will be the defining values of academic life in the faculty.
Motivation is essential and decisive, as it is the best fuel for future actions and must not be lacking. The strategy, respectively the establishment of the rules and the way in which we will act represents the confirmation of the fact that we can achieve our objectives for the two directions of study: dentistry, with the three lines (Romanian, French and English) and dental technique, as an expression of freedom. , balance and academic excellence.

The Faculty of Dental Medicine in Iasi was created in 1945 as a section of the Faculty of Medicine, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Nicolae Dutescu, being the first with this profile in the country. Since 1965 it has been working as an independent faculty, with courses lasting 6 years. After 1989 and especially since 1992, our faculty has undergone a continuous development process, by increasing the number of teachers and the number of students and by modernizing the specialized Clinics and equipping them with a modern material base, in accordance with the demands of the third millennium.

The Faculty of Dental Medicine in Iasi is an academic institution structured and organized according to modern principles, being also one of the most prestigious medical faculties in the country - at regional, national and even international level. His history has been influenced by numerous personalities from Romanian medicine, and many of his graduates now represent significant names for Romanian and international dentistry. His honorable past and dynamic and modern present are the preconditions for a bright future.
