Rector message - graduates

Dear graduates,

I would like to begin by assuring you, as the Rector of the „Grigore T.Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Iasi, that I am proud of you. I am proud not only because you achieved the end of a difficult but beautiful academic journey, but also because you have been, just like us, through a complicated academic year and you adapted so well to the challenges raised by the current epidemiological context.

I know it wasn't easy for you, I know you missed the traditional graduation ceremony, one of the most important and touching life moments, for you as well as your parents. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't mark the graduation of bachelor programs from June, but I think it's not fair that you are totally deprived of the joy of a day that you will remember all your lives. Graduation day, the day in which you will give the Hippocrate's oath, the day in which you can proudly say that you are graduates of the „Grigore T.Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Iasi, class 2020.

I am glad to announce that next week, on the University's Esplanade, in epidemiological safety conditions, we will have the Graduation Ceremony. In order to comply with the maximum number of participants admitted to a meeting, we decided to hold it for four days: on the 17th of September for graduates of the Medicine programme, on the 18th of September for graduates of the Dental Medicine and Pharmacy programmes, on the 19th of September for graduates of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Bioengineering and Balneo-physio-kinetotherapy and Rehabilitation programmes and on the 20th of September for graduates of the English and French series.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to have your families and friends next to you, but they will be able to enjoy your success by accessing the live transmission of the whole ceremony.

I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to saying together the "Oath of Hippocrates"!
